If you missing channels , here is one reason why

Most recent changes to the dish channel list page 12/3/06 according to numerous e-mails, cbs hd east and west (nyc & la) is no longer available in the 9400 range to anyone including residents of the new york and los angeles area. They have not been removed from 61.5° or 148° but they should not be available to anyone at this time. Added a "no longer available" tag to the channels but still list them as "a la carte". If you still receive one or both of these channels on a legitimate subscription... Shhhhh... *i* don't even want to know. :-) cbs hd is available in nyc and la in the 6000 channel range along with the rest of the local hd channels. Channel 692 had an epg name change from vland (videoland from taiwan) to slnk2. It took a little while, but (anon) finally figured out what it was and let me know. This is sky link 2. Sky link is already available on channel 693. Ert sat had a name change to ert world. Ert is available on channels 603 and 719. (n) megacosmos, channels 602 and 718, is no longer be available on dish according to this press release posted at satelliteguys.us. The channel is moving to directv. Megacosmos channel is still listed on this chart since there is "something" there and the epg has not been changed. This will most likely changed on wednesday. 12/1/06 (death to all distant nets day) apologies to greg whom i argued with long and hard on both dbstalk and satelliteguys about cbs hd and sv channels. Greg was correct all along and i was incorrect on all accounts. I bow to greg's superior knowledge of all things shvrea! ☺ cbs hd is disappearing from subscribers accounts all over the place including puerto rico. If anyone outside the nyc and la markets still receive cbs hd in the 9400 channel range, please email me at dishlist@echostaruser.com channels 241-248 and their mirrors on channels 8000-8003 and 8100-8103 are now no longer available to any subscribers outside the new york and la areas. All the significantly viewed network channels from 6200-6236 and a couple others in the "normal" locals range have been removed. (anon) the only ones that survive are technically considered "local channels" to franklin co pa to some subscribers. Franklin co pa moved from the washington market to the harrisburg market two years ago. The channels removed are as follows: 6200 wjla, 6201 wusa, 6202 wrc washington removed from the baltimore area 6203 ktbs, 6204 kmss shreveport removed from the tyler, tx area. 6205 ksat, 6206 kens san antonio removed from the austin, tx area. 6208 wrtv, 6209 wthr indianapolis removed from the terre haute area 6211 wctv thomasville, ga (tallahassee tv market) removed from the albany ga area 6217 wapt, 6218 wjtv, 6219 wlbt, 6220 wufx, 6221 wdbd, 6226 wdbj jackson, ms removed from mississippi counties in the baton rouge la tv market. 6227 wsls roanoke, va removed as a significantly viewed network somewhere! never found out where. 6233 and 6234 wmur manchester, nh (boston tv market) removed from new hampshire counties in the portland, me and burlington, vt tv markets. 6235 wfmy, 6236 wxii greensboro/winston-salem removed from the roanoke/lynchburg area 7658 kriv houston removed from brownsville, tx 7926 wtvy dothan, al removed from panama city, fl quite a few more transponder moves today for dish to clean off transponder 15 at 119° for nps. (anon) 242, 244, 246, 248 and mirros 8000-8003 (los angeles abc, cbs, nbc and fox) moved from transponder 15 to 11 at 119° on ppv barker channel 103, its mirror 500 and ppv channel 505 have been removed from tp 16 at 119° ppv channel 509 removed from tp 17 at 119° 210 cspan, moved from tp 11 to 17 at 119° 212 cspan 2 from 11 to 8 at 119° 222 hsn its map-down channel 84, 226 qvc and 228 shopnbc moved from tp 11 to 16 at 119° 299 reelz channel moved from tp 11 to 4 at 119° removed "dish nets" from the package availability on nyc, la and chicago locals since the package no longer legally exists. 11/30/06 many more channel moves early this morning. The following channels moved at about 3:30am today (anon) looks like dish cleaned off tp 15 to add 8 "myetery" channels (looks like east and west of 4 networks to me!) from tp 12 at 119° to 10 at 110°: 519 ppv from tp 16 to 6 at 110°: 514/5801/9931 ppv/vod from tp 21 at 119° to 16 at 110°: 511 ppv from tp 15 to 11 at 119°: 299 reelz channel from tp 15 to 13 at 119°: 132 tcm from tp 15 to 16 at 119°: 171 nick west from tp 15 to 20 at 119°: 232/252/8004 ktla from tp 15 to 21 at 119°: 262 angel one from tp 20 to 12 at 119°: 9411 nauhs channel 537 here ppv has been removed from tp 10 at 110°. Channels 539 and its mirror at 861 esppv (spanish language ppv) have been removed from tp 10 at 110° channel 5990 cptst has been removed from tp 15 at 119° the following "mystery channels" have been added to the system on tp 15 at 119°. I wonder what ever they could be?! 5731 tst1a, 5732 tst2a 5733 tst1b, 5734 tst2b 5735 tst1c, 5736 tst2c 5737 tst1d, 5738 tst2c update: channels 5731-5738 are now homes to san francisco and atlanta abc, cbs, nbc and fox stations (anon / jj) the epg name on the channels were changed to correspond with the stations on the channels wxia, kntv, wgcl, kpix, wsb, kgo, waga, ktvu (anon) nps will provide distant network channels to qualifying subscribers starting 12/1/2006 see https://www.mydistantnetworks.com starting tomorrow. (satelliteguys.us) price for the networks are as follows: east + west of any one network $2.50. East and west of all 4 networks $9.00 of course the plaintiffs in the case that took 11 years to litigate aren't very happy right now. An emergency motion is before the courts right now to block this and hold echostar in contempt (dbstalk.com) dish has reached a deal with pappas and the stations listed in the 11/29 changes will not be removed. Dish has agreed to add kcwl lincoln, kazr reno and kuno. The press release says both san francisco and sacramento. Removed all the notices of doom and gloom from the pappas locals. Channel 692 changed epg names from vland to slnk2. Unknown at this time if there was a content change to the channel as well. Euronews has been launched on dish in 6 of the 7 languages available. (anon) this channel is now showing as available in the following packages on the dish network web site: a la carte euronews, a la carte-spt, arabic elite super pack, german language pack w/euronews, german-language package, panorama italiano, polish super pack, polish super pack w/euronews, rbti/tv globo/record, rbti/tv globo/record, w/euronews, tv5/ 3a telesud/trace tv w/euronews, tv5/3a telesud/trace tv, viva pinoy pack channel 784 at 118° will be available in english, french and german. Channel 900 at 61.5° and 148° will be available in english, portuguese and italian channel 901 at 61.5° and 148° will be available in english and russian. [rant] the only language not available through dish is spanish. Brilliant! only the largest market "foreign" language is ignored. Only an estimated 30 million us residents and citizens speak it. ") [/rant] 11/29/06 let's start off the weekly uplink day with the following from http://www.nebraska.tv/news/local/4770141.html ...effective friday, december 1, dish subscribers will lose access to all pappas stations currently being carried on the dish network. After protracted negotiations, pappas and dish have been unable to reach agreement to extend their existing carriage arrangements beyond the expiration date of november 30. Stations affected are the following: channel 7191 kmeg tv 14 (cbs) sioux city ia channel 7193 kpth tv 44 (fox) sioux city, ia channel 7269 wcwg tv 20 (cw) lexington (greensboro, nc) channel 7553 ktvg tv 17 (fox) grand island (lincoln, ne) channel 7584 kdbc tv 4 (cbs) el paso channel 8011 kaza tv 54 (azteca) avalon (los angeles) channel 8381 kazh tv 57 (azteca) baytown (houston) channel 8231 ktnc tv 42 (azteca) concord (san francisco) channel 8641 ktnc tv 42 (azteca) concord (sacramento) channel 8968 kmph tv 26 (fox) visalia (fresno) channel 8969 kfre tv 59 (cw) sanger (fresno) channel 9004 kren tv 27 (cw) reno channel 9114 kcwi tv 23 (cw) ames (des moines) channel 9143 kptm tv 42 (fox) omaha channel 9144 kxvo tv 15 (cw) omaha added note to each station and turned fields red to highlight stations that will be cut off. This was done on the main page only. [rant]a reminder that there have been several other station groups that have gone to the brink with dish only to come to a last minute deal. This info is being brought to you so you can call the local channel affected and complain to them. The local channels (pappas) is complaining that their cut isn't big enough out of the $5.99 (or $5.00 if you have a bundled package) dish is charging you, the subscriber. It has nothing to do with increasing their vieweship or serving you, the local viewer. It has to do with greed by two multi-billion dollar companies on how to best extract more cash from us and, in viewers just get caught in the cross-fire. So much for local stations caring for their viewers. A local station is supposed to serve the local area and imho should lose their license for non-compliance if they refuse the opportunity to better serve their local area by other means of distribution such as cable, satellite, fios or whatever as long as it is within their tv market.[/rant] bangor, me local abc, cbs, nbc, fox and pbs are now available to local subscribers on channels 8092-8096 (anon) butte/bozeman, mt local abc, cbs, nbc, fox and pbs are now available to local subscribers on channels 9087-9091 (anon) dish finally caught up to kuns. Channel 8624 changed its call letters from kwog to kuns some time ago as reported by raymie. Dish finally caught up and changed the epg today. (anon) euronews is "technically available" today on channels 784 at 118.78° and 900 & 901 at 148° and 61.5°. (anon) the csrs should know what to do with them on friday (not tomorrow). (scott g at satelliteguys.us). These channels currently have several language track each. Channel 692 changed epg name from vland to slnk2 and back to vland in the streth of a couple of hours early this morning (anon) the net change is zero, but i just wanted to mention this to have it on record. Several transponder moves today. The big news is that transponders 23 and 24 were lit up today at 61.5°. Dish recently gained temporary authority to use these transponders giving them effective control of 30 of the 32 transponders at 61.5. Sky angel has the other two transponders. The channels that moved today are the following (anon) from tp 10 to tp 23 at 61.5° and from tp 3 to tp 26 at 148°: 472 sport, 533 ppv, 580 info, 9621 btv, 9622 btv, 9680 dpop, 9996 ecc from tp 29 to tp 14 at 61.5° and from tp 19 to tp 16 at 148°: 609 tvn24 from tp 10 tp tp 29 at 61.5° and from tp 3 to 19 at 148°: 9416 gsn, 9417 htvn, 9418 peac from tp 19 to tp 16 at 119° from tp 23 to 26 on spot 34 at 110°: 8545 kupx info channels added to 5992 and 5993 on tp 19 at 110°. (anon) these channels are reportedly "redirect" channels for the pappas local channels which may be removed on 12/1. (dsscpu) the affected channels are listed above. Wbsf cw in the flint, mi tv market is now uplinked but not available to subscribers on channel 7534 on tp 20 spot 13 at 110° kutf telefutura in the salt lake city, ut tv market is now uplinked but not available to subscribers on channel 8539 on tp 23 spot 34 at 110° kcbu retro tv network in the salt lake city, ut tv market is now uplinked but not available to subscribers on channel 8544 on tp 26 spot 34 at 110
