Zero keys via pro-loader

C&p,thanks goes to catfishnut

Zero keys via pro-loader here is a hint to assist you with coercion of your keys. The way i wrote it makes it sound lengthy, but it really is shorter than it appears. Essentially it accomplishes the same thing as manually entering all keys as zeros via the remote and rebooting, but you can do it much quicker.

Step 1] open coolsat proloader program

Step 2] click to select the key tab in proloader window

Step 3] click on “to computer” to prep to save the key file to your computer.

Step 4] click on browse and type in a filename such as “keys-1-2=zero-keys-3-200=off” and press save. (filename just for example, you can name it however you wish)

Step 5] click on connect and then start.

Step 6] when the key file is done uploading, click on finish.

Step 7] close or minimize the proloader program.

Step 8] open my computer and retrieve the key file you just created.

Step 9] single click on the file and select open with… and select notepad

Step 10] when the file opens, highlight everything beyond slot 2 and delete all the information, everything.

Step 11] only key slots 1 and 2 should be remaining.

Step 12] manually edit the hexadecimal key codes in both slot 1 and 2. Set all digits to 00’s

Step 13] save this edited key file.

Step 14] re-open proloader and select keys tab, click on to receiver and click on browse and select the key file you just created.

Step 15] click on connect and then start to download the key file to the receiver.

Step 16] when the key file is done downloading, click on finish.

Step 17] using your remote, select any ppv channel in the 500 channel number area, i prefer channel 517.

Step 18] allow the stb to rest in this state for 2 to 20 minutes.

Step 19] if the channels remain scrambled after the time period mentioned in step 18, turn the receiver power off (via remote or rear switch) and allow the unit to remain off for 10 to 60 seconds.

Step 20] turn the stb back on and wait 10 seconds to 5 minutes.

Step 21] if the proper keys do not roll into the stb within 5 minutes, you might allow an additional 5 minutes before proceeding

Step 22] cycle power off for approximately one minute and then turn stb back on.

Step 23] wait 20 nanoseconds to 20 minutes.

Step 24] if proper video and audio does not become available by then, there is something wrong with your system or setup. Troubleshoot cause.

Step 25] if all works well, retain the key file you created in steps 1 – 13 and download it to the receiver at any time that the receiver needs a prompt to roll and activate the keys.

Once you have created this key file, you need not repeat all the steps, just use the file over and over again. Any time that the keys have rolled and your rcvr did not acknowledge them, send this file to the rcvr and within 20seconds to 3 minutes, your video should be back up and running.

Zero keys via Pro-Loader

The zeroed template file that I use contains the following text:
====================================
; SoftCam - KeyFile

; Slot 1
N 0001 00 00000000000000000000000000000000
N 0001 01 00000000000000000000000000000000

; Slot 2
N 0801 00 00000000000000000000000000000000
N 0801 01 00000000000000000000000000000000

; Slot 78
N 0801 00 00000000000000000000000000000000
N 0801 01 00000000000000000000000000000000

; Slot 79
N 0001 00 00000000000000000000000000000000
N 0001 01 00000000000000000000000000000000

====================================
You can simply copy and paste the portion between the two "equals-signs" lines into Notepad, then give the file any name you desire with the extension ".key". Then use ProLoader to download to your receiver. For those who are not Windows-saavy, the accompanying attachment is the finished end result. The ONLY thing that you have to do to the attachment is change the ".doc" file extension to ".key".

Reminder to neophytes: the file attachment is pure ASCII text and does NOT contain any embedded codes. If you use Wordpad or Word to open it, do NOT SAVE the file using those applications or they will automatically add hidden formatting directives. Only use the Windows Notepad applet whenever editing or saving *.key files to preserve the ASCII-text-only content
