How to load keys and see your password.



I will attempt to explain two things here, loading keys and obtaining your password if forgotten.


Loading keys into your Coolsat 5000.

To do this you will need the current keys. If you do not have the current keys you can use CyberBDS Nagra@ Tools to obtain them. If you are using CyberDBS Nagra2 Tools you simply download the file, extract to a folder click on the program, hit "Keys" tab, then hit "Get Keys". Now you have the current keys.

Now that you have the current keys lets get started.

1. On you Coolsat go to a channel even if it say scrambled.
2. On the remote hit 8282 bringing up the "Key Edit" screen.
3. Tab 1 you will see Nagravision with CAS Nagravision and Ident D-N (0001)
4. Use the Channel Down on the remote to scroll down to the line beside "10"
5. You will have 8 sets of 2 digits highlighted, this is where you edit.
6. On the remote enter a number with the keypad or hit info to change each of the two digit keys.
7. Scroll down to 11, 20, and 21 to do the same with the different keys.
8. When you are done hit "Exit" on the remote and select "Yes" to save changes and exit out to watch television.

If using bev go back to the "Key Edit" screen and scroll right to tab 2. The CAS will say "Nagravision" and Ident will say ExpressVu (0801). Scroll down to line 10, 11, 20, and 21 doing the same as above to manually enter the Bev keys.



How to change your password or see what it is.

Change Password if forgotten:

On the remote hit "Menu"
Sroll down to "System Settings"
Scroll over to the right.
When you get the password prompt enter "0103"
Scroll down to "Security Setting" and hit ok.
When you get the enter PIN again enter "0103"
Scroll down to Current Password and hit ok, Enter "0103"
Scroll down to New Password and enter whatever you would like.
Scroll down to Verify Password and enter the new password again.
Hit exit and select "Yes" to save.
Exit all the way out to picture.

Password changed without knowing your present password, cool huh!



How to see what the password is even if you didnt set it.

Turn OFF the reciever.
On the reciever hit the Power and Channel Up button at same time and release at the same time.
You will see after a second a screen labled "Diagnostic - V1.00" DO NOT MESS WITH OTHER THINGS IN THIS SCREEN.
You will see three lines vertical lines with 8 horizontal tabs.
Using the remote scroll over and down to get to the password tab which is on the far right 3rd up from the bottom.
If you hit ok on the Password tab it will show the password while you are holding the ok button down.
Now you can press power twice exiting out knowing what the password is.

This is also cool so that if your wife/husband set a password not telling you you can still find it out.
