How to wire cooling fan for 7000 and 7200
Here is how you hook up a heatsink and fan on a 7200 and 7000. It works great. It only runs when you are watching TV and when you turn the reciever off it shuts off. It runs off the 0/12 volt RCA plug in back of reciever. All you need is an RCA cable and cut it off with about 5 inches of cable on it.Make sure you put the RCA cable through a slot in the top of the case before soldering. Cut connector off the fan and strip all wires back about 1/4 inch .Solder the red and yellow wire to the center wire of the RCA connector and the black wire to the outside wire of the RCA plug. Wrap connections with electrical tape and put the top back on reciever and plug the RCA plug into the 0/12 volt output on the back of the reciever. Just make sure you enable 12 volt switch option in setup for each antenna. I bought these heatsinks and fans for $5.99 at Tiger Direct. Protect your investment.
