DISHnet sends the EPG data for DISH channels to all of the channels on a certain transponder. Tuning to one of these channels is the DB's way of capturing the full EPG that usually covers about two days. I personally like the NFL channel better.
There are some issues however for DM500 and DM7000 owners with full EPG.
Theses two machines have a small amount of RAM when it comes to storing all of that EPG data (compared to the DM7020) which means you have to get a bit tricky when doing so. If you leave it on one of the EPG channels for too long the RAM fills up and bogs the DB down until you hard reboot (unplug) it. Not long enough and you have only current and next program EPG.
