This Post was generated from another site! I have also added some trouble shooting ideas.

Read Common Internet File Sharing v1.2.3.pdf that is included in this POST, and then print it! Then read it again, and then attempt it. It’s very easy to miss very important steps.

1.) Download the NT 4 Security Configuration Manager from /http://www.microsoft.com/ntserver/n...scm/default.asp
2.) Run the scesp4i.exe file and extract all files to a temporary directory.
3.) Right-click on the setup.inf file and choose the install option.
4.) Answer no if asked to overwrite essent.dll.

Trouble Shooting Steps

Make sure your CIFS IP address is the address where the programming will be stored more then likely “Your PC”.

To find out what your PC ip address is!

Go to start

Run

then type

cmd or command (This is to get you to a DOS prompt)

then type

ipconfig

Make sure you have a subfolder called “movie” should look like this from a command prompt D:\dreambox\movie

Or C:\dreambox\movie You can use any drive you wish!

Very important
When mounting a DB 500 with Pi mount make sure you use /mnt/nfs instead of /hdd

Make sure you save it before you mount it! Good chance your settings will not remain the same!!!

How to check you current Ver of XP

Right Click on My Computer

Go to Properties

Under GENERAL

You will see the heading System!
