Hi , guys wondering if anybody can tell me what does Flash mean when comes to Dreambox 7025 receiver , I know its meaning literally and linguistic , But I need its meaning in computer language , i.e in technical terms .

Any thought you would have be greatly appreciated .

all depend on what you doing but most of the time mean upgrade from one firmware to another .

for example you can flash a sony cd player from version 1.2a to version 1.2b.
