Need help with Lifetime Ultra Jtagging

Hi all,

I need help with Jtagging my Lifetime Ultra which I messed up when I've uploaded Pansat bin by accident.

I have searched for forum for jtagging but a little confused as what bin or boot file I need to use to flash the ultra with.

Could you guys point to the right direction and some JTAG guides for Ultra.

Before Jtaging last try other options. Like flashing Factory Bin, reset factory setting or upload a new bin.

When it all fails then look at Jtag.

Actualy the power does not come on. No power no light. From various posts I figured jtag is my only hope. Not exactly sure how to jtag though.

there is step by step instructions posted on this site for jtag'ing try useing search for what you are looking for.

Ok. I have done some reading and found some documents describing the JTAG steps. I have made the cable and re-checked the connections few times.

The Jkeys keep reporting "Unknown device". I have checked the parallel port address and followed the steps very carefuly.

Any idea why Jkeys can not detect my Fortec?

If the power does not turn on, you might have burned out the unit. Check to see if there is a fuse that is blown.
