Master Key Entry Manual (Work In Progress)

First in a series of post for directions on how to enter keys for each receiver, with no discussions. Just the facts Maam! (I know, I must be getting old).
PANSAT RECEIVERS
PANSAT RECEIVERS
Pansat Receivers:
1. Press the “menu” button on your remote.
2. Press the “down” arrow once, until “parental controls” is highlighted.
3. Press “ok”
4. Press the "down" arrow one time. This will move you to the second code line. If no second line shows or this step doesn't work, it's probably becasue you have no channel list applied or you haven't scanned the birds for channels yet.
5. Enter 0000, that's 4 zeros. You will see this list: SECA, Viaccess1, Viaccess2, Irdeto/Betacrypt, Nagravision1, Nagravision2, Conex, Set default key, and Key EMU
6. Press the “down” arrow to “Set default key”
7. Press “ok” and you will soon see a window pop up that tells you it's saving or saved. Now you may scroll back up to the line that says Nagravision2 and press "Ok".
8. Next, press the "right" arrow, (next to the "ok" button) 11 times, until it says Dish Network. Depending on the fta bin you have flashed to your IRD, you may see slight variations in your screen information. The top left box on your screen MUST say Nagravision2. In some bins, it may say Nagravision 1. If so, you need to go to the "Provider ID" box and toggle using the right arrow remote control key to scroll until it says 00-01 in the "key numbers" box AND Nagravision2 in the top left corner of the screen.
9. Press the "down" arrow 1 time.
10. It is defaulted on key “00”, so if you need to change the "00" key, then press “down" arrow one time. If you need to change key “01” instead of key "00", then press “right arrow” one time, so that it now says “01”. Then "Key Data" should show 2 rows of 16 number/letter combinations. Depending on your fta bin, it may only show one row.
11. Enter the new key code numbers and letters. If you see two rows, enter the first half of the 00 (zero, zero) key in the top row and remainder of the 00 (zero zero) key in the bottom row. If you see only one row, you can enter then "save" (detailed below), then scroll back up, change the "key numbers" to 01 (zero one) and repeat the entering and saving process for them. Usually only one or the opther sets changes at a time.These keys will change continiously, so I’m leaving a blank section below this sentence & before #12, for you to write the key data code(s) in. You can write it manually after printing this out.
12. The six buttons below the number pad are for letters “A” through “F” exactly in order.
Speaker = A. (This is also called “audio signal”)
i = B
SIG = C
PAUSE = D
SAT = E. (This is also called “Sat Signal”)
EPG = F
13. Verify the new keys on the screen as you enter them. If you make an error, simply left arrow and make the correction.
14. Find the red icon in the lower right corner that says "OK-Store". You must “Store” the new code. Do this by pressing the "OK" key on your remote. Watch for the word “store” on the screen to blink yellow 3 times, as you press it. When you are successful, the word "Store" will then change to blue in color. Verify that!
15. Press “exit” ONLY one time. Then scroll back down to "Nagravision2" and press it once more to verify that you have succeeded in saving the key data numbers and letters. If so, then press "Exit" 4 times, until you are back to a regular channel viewing screen. It should begin within 2-3 seconds.

VIEWSAT RECEIVERS
Go to Menu, Installation,Code
than pick Nagra, than left key One Time
and it'll show Dish or Dishnetwork and you'll have something like

Only change the key on 08 and 09
08 ---- F2 98 74 44 1C 65 77 D8 (substitute latest keys)
09 ---- 17 E3 E1 1D 89 4E 53 45 (substitute latest keys)
after you are done exit and save then watch TV

You can do it two ways:
1. load the latest opkey file... see posts below for the currently active on dated Dec 3 7 pm
2. use your REMOTE control... here's a "ficticious" example when you have the KEYs to use your REMOTE:
PRETEND Public Key Change by teach (12-04-05)
The Public Keys are reported to have changed to:
Key 00: F2 98 74 44 1C 65 77 D8
Key 01: 17 E3 E1 1D 89 4E 53 45
Here's how to change them in your ViewSat:
MENU--INSTALLATION--CODE--NAGRA
LEFT arrow until "Dish" displays in the top line
DOWN arrow x 2
RIGHT arrow x 1 puts you on the 2nd line of numbers with "08" in the first column;
you start punching in the below at the 2nd column ("C3" as of 11-04-05)
"Text" key + "2" = "F2", RIGHT arrow
"9" + "8" = "98", RIGHT arrow
"7" + "4" = "74", RIGHT arrow
"4" + "4" = "44", RIGHT arrow
"1" + "F3" key = "1C", RIGHT arrow
"6" + "5" = "65", RIGHT arrow
"7" + "7" = "77", RIGHT arrow
"F4" key + "8" = "D8", RIGHT arrow ...
finishing the top line
You should have the highlighted box in the first column of the 2nd row on top of "08"
DOWN arrow, RIGHT arrow to the 2nd box in the 3rd row
"1" + "7" = "17, RIGHT arrow
"LAST CHANNEL" key (below "9" key) + "3" = "E3", RIGHT arrow
"LAST CHANNEL" key (below "9" key) + "1" = "E1", RIGHT arrow
"1" + "F4" key = "1D", RIGHT arrow
"8" + "9" = "89", RIGHT arrow
"4" + "LAST CHANNEL" key = "4E", RIGHT arrow
"5" + "3" = "53", RIGHT arrow
"4" + "5" = "45", RIGHT arrow
EXIT, "YES" to save
EXIT to TV screen and watch tv

This puts the PRETEND KEYS into the 08 & 09 KEY lines.
If you need to put KEYS into the 88 & 89 KEY lines... do above and substitute 88 for the "08" line and 89 for the "09" line.

FORTEC RECEIVERS
Lifetime:
1. Click on MENU on your remote
2. Press the RIGHT ARROW button 2 times
3. Press the DOWN ARROW button 2 times until you have highlighted CODE and click OK
4. Enter the password 1010 (, enter 1668 for ultra)
5. Press the DOWN ARROW 3 times until you have highlighted NAGRAVISION and click OK.
6. Press the RIGHT ARROW button 10 times until you see "Dish Network" on the top right. ( It will show provider id 01).
7. Press right arrow until you are on correct key.
8. Change the keys to the current keys with your remote. Remember the Alpha entries begin with SAT=A, INFO=B, TV/RADIO=C, etc
9. After the keys are all changed, click OK then press EXIT 2 times
Ultra:
1) Hit menu on the remote, and then push right arrow twice
2) select the "code" you will be asked for password enter 1668
3) press down until you get to Nagravision hit ok when you get there you will see polsat or something near the top right corner
4) press right arrow until that changes to dish network make sure you are on "Provider ID" when pressing the right arrow so it says dishnetwork.
5) when it says Dishnetwork under "Key number" change that to 00 or 01 by pressing right arrow
6) go under "key" and type in the new keys. Remember function buttons are alpha entries.
7) press store and exit

DREAMBOX:
Open up DreamBox Control Center, select FTP, then on left hand side of display, double click on var, then double click on keys, then right click on keylist, and select Edit.
Go to the lines which looks like this:
N 0101 01 BXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX ; Key update: 14-09-2005
N 0001 01 BXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX ; Key update: 14-09-2005
where BXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX is the old key number,
and change it to look like this:
N 0101 00 FXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX ; Key update: 07-11-2005
N 0001 01 FXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX ; Key update: 07-11-2005
where FXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX is the new key number.
Note that the first line also changes from N 0101 01 to N0101 00
Then select File, then select Save and Exit, then exit out of DCC.
Some people say you have to reboot, but within five seconds after I made this change, I had video and audio back.

How To Manually Enter Keys For Digiwave

1- Press MENU
2- Scroll down to System Setting.
3- Press OK. If you see a red dot in the botton/left of your screen, go to step 5
4- Enter number 1004. A red dot will come out at ur bottom left. YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO THIS STEP w/ lastest bins.
5- Press red button (audio).
6- Press right arrow until NAGRA appears in the first line.
7- Down arrow up to Provider and right arrow up to 0001.
8-Now scroll down to first key line and press OK. scroll to the letters and number and enter Key 00.
9-Scroll down to second key line, press ok. and enter key 01
10- Scroll To Save Key and
11- Press OK.
12- Exit and Enjoy

How To Manually Enter Keys For Ariza:

4- Menu button
5- Press right arrow several times until you see nagravision
6- Now depend on the key that changed and it is active you must scroll down til proper key to be changed
Example: On 06/09/05 ECM key 01 is active. Scroll down to provider 000101 01 key line and enter xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx (enter number with your # button in your remote and for letter follow code definition button on your TV screen)
7- Press OK for 5 seconds.
8- Exit,exit...........
9- Enjoy

Spacestar manual key change

Spacestar manual key change:
Press Menu--> Configuration--> Embedded Cas--> Nagra 2--> The press idea Dish Part1.
There you will see F1 & F2
Update F1 with the first 16 digits of the new idea key. Update F2 with the second 16 digits of the idea key.
After updating the keys, press "EPG" to save then press "EXIT" and watch tv!

Press the Page Down Button while in the TV Viewing Screen and that will bring up the Key Edit Screen.
How To Manually Enter Keys For Ariza:

DN active provider in ariza flash is 0101. so edit keys in 000101 lines
DN key 00 is in 3rd line from top to botton

Press 1- Green button 2- Red button
3- Red button
4- Menu button
5- Press right arrow several times until you see nagravision
6- Now depend on the key that changed and it is active you must scroll down til proper key to be changed
Example: On 06/09/05 *** key 01 is active. Scroll down to provider 000101 01 key line and enter xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx (enter number with your # button in your remote and for letter follow code definition button on your TV screen)
7- Press OK for 5 seconds.
8- Exit,exit...........
Try this for the 700:
Go to menu
Parental control
Second pin - 0000
Nagravision 2
Provider 0101 for Dish
Enter current key 00
Press (OK) on remote to store
Enter current key 01
Press (OK) on remote to store
Exit
Go to key EMU press OK
Set Echostar autoroll to off
Exit and watch TV
