a lil explanation

a lil explanation

This was sent as a PM to me, but I thought I would post it here so that it might be of help to others.

hey hows it goin? i just wanted to ask you what is nagra? is it an application, a file, what do u do with it?

i've read through all your comments and i'm slightly confused on some parts, (i'm sorry if i'm posting in the wrong area, pls. understand i tried looking for the right spot and this has to with my issue)
i have 2 cs5000. have the most current loader, and bin. 1 of my cs5000, i actually have to manually enter the key each time it goes down. My second reciever i do not, (however on this box, more then half my channels are missing.) so a) how do i learn this autoroll (off/on) stuff and b) how can i ensure all the channels i want are on both recievers. I'm using bev and dish on both. pls. let me know, thnx for reading this guys. i got the system installed 6 months back and i've slowly been learning everything on my own. i don't know what all my settings are, i also have a 3rd dish, and i've never gotten the channels from that, and thas for all the asian, (atn etc...) how do i set this all up? if you could point me in the right direction, ie, links, tips or nethin i'll manage to figure it out. U mention sometimes to do blindscans, or nvram stuff, but what does that doo when ur finished with it. is the box dead, or can u jus reboot and move on?
