Pantec 2500 Ultra setup

Can somebody please help me start up my Pantec receiver, they mention I can load pantec or fortec files to this unit, I have the fortec files but the unit does not accepts them, what Im doing wrong please help...

have you downloader all set up... with your pantec hooked up, serial, plugged in, but turned off.....

turn on the pantec,, when you see the knight rider light going back and forth across the display, click download.......... and it'll workk, might take a couple tries....... then do your channels list..
