Time Setting & guide problem

I have a viewsat pvr 7000. I am watching TV but the only problem I have is when I go to : Installation>Time Setting>Mode, if I change mode to manual, I can set the time to florida time and date, but when I exit out and go to guide, I get " no information" It will stay that way. If I go back and change the "Mode" to "Auto", I will get detailed listings in my guide.
I was told that I need to keep "Time Adjustment" to minus 5:00 or it will not fill up epg, but when I set my "Mode" to manual, to set my real time and date, it changes "Time Adjustment" back to 0:00
I cant get both, correct time and date, and time setting at -5:00. What can I do?...................Joe

dont have a pvr , but do have a viewsat , on platinum or xtreme needs to be set on auto, eastern , -5, and summer time on , hope this helps

Time set menu --
installation --

time setting set the "time adjustment"
(2nd line) to your offset from gmt (utc)

for example, eastern is -5:00 now, the time displayed on the viewsat front panel display and in the various screens will be your correct local time.

Note: "summer time" is not a valid option for us users. Ignore this setting.
